Full Game Requirements
What each device and the venue network need for the live exercise.
Network & firewall
- Outbound HTTPS (TCP 443) to breach.trendcyberrange.com
- WebSocket (wss://) allowed — falls back to HTTPS long-polling if blocked, but WebSocket is smoother
- Allow the domain through web content filters / SSL inspection (deep SSL inspection can break the realtime connection)
- No VPN or proxy that blocks or rewrites WebSocket traffic
- A stable connection — round-trip under ~800 ms is ideal
Browser
- A current Safari, Chrome, Edge, or Firefox (within the last two major versions)
- JavaScript enabled
- Cookies & local storage enabled — keeps your seat if you reconnect
- Camera access allowed — to scan the join and return-from-break QR codes
- Sound & vibration allowed — alerts when it's your turn to act
Devices
- One device per player (phone or laptop)
- One shared tablet / iPad per team for the team view
- Keep the screen awake (disable auto-lock) during play
The three checks above confirm the network basics. The items here are the full set needed for every feature (joining, voting, interrupts, QR re-entry, and turn alerts).
